2018 Set to Be an Exciting Year for Indonesian Tourism

2018 can turn out to be a banner year for Indonesian tourism. Recently, Bali has been appointed to host the 2018 Annual fest Meeting of the International Monetary Fund.

For this event, the island is expecting to welcome 15,000 participants across the globe. Thus, it is anticipated that at least 30,000 people including tourists will travel to Bali in October next year.

Before this event, Indonesia will also host the 2018 Asian Games from Aug to Sep. These events would happen in Palembang, South Sumatra and Jakarta.

“2018 will also be a really busy year with 171 regional elections,” said Cabinet Chair Secretary, PramonoAnung during a preparation meeting for the 2018 Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on Wednesday.

There are a lot of things that they have to keep in mind when it comes to preparation. Roads are needed to be revamped and bridges need to be built. It’s a challenging task for the country to make everything happen at the right time.

To prepare for the main event, an underpass will be constructed at the intersection of NgurahRai Monument to ease traffic congestion on roads that will connect NgurahRai International Airport, Nusa Dua, and Denpasar.Tourism Minister,Arief has prepared several packages for promotion through the travel website TripAdvisor. It will include some amazing packages at very affordable rates like a one-day cruise.

A Beyond Bali package which will be a trip to islands near Bali has been introduced. Places that would be included over here are Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Jakarta, Joglosemar and the iconic Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java.

It seems that Bali has prepared its complete plan on paper, but implementations of these plans have not yet started. According to the authorities, they are ready to complete the things in time and host the events without any glitch.
